Tips to brew a perfect cup of tea!

Brewing a perfect cup of tea is more than just dunking a tea bag in hot boiling water, steeping it for 2-3 minutes depending on the tea and drinking it up. Here are 5 easy tips that you should follow for an amazing tea experience.

1. Use freshly boiled hot water

Always use fresh water. Never use re-heated water as the water has lost all its Oxygen making the tea taste flat.

2. Never squeeze the tea bag

Once you have brewed the tea for 2-3 minutes, take out the tea bag and keep it aside. Never ever squeeze the tea bag. All the flavour has already been extracted from the tea bag. Squeezing it makes the tea bitter and ruins your tea experience.

3. Steep the tea bag for 2-3 minutes only

You should never oversteep your tea to make a stronger cup as it can result in a bitter cup of tea. Add another tea bag or more tea leaves to make the cup stronger.

4. Add a dash of milk

Don’t add too much of milk as it overpowers the flavour of tea and gives it a rather milky taste.

5. Store your tea properly

Tea should generally be stored in a cool, dry place in a tea tin preferably and protected from any kind of moisture. Tea should also be kept away from spices otherwise they start absorbing their smell and taste.

Keep these tips in mind and you are sure to get a perfect cup of tea!
